Chapter One Continued

By the time we got home it was late and we decided to call it a night and get some rest.

When I woke the next morning I decided to start analyzing the security footage and the photo that I had freeze framed. So I went to the workshop and got to work on it. After I cleared the photo up a bit to get a better view of the faces I had the computer run the facial recognition program on it. As I waited for the program to run I  went over the video footage to see if their was anything else that was out of place.

As the video footage ran I noticed that the two men were able to stay in the shadows away from the cameras. I was also able to go back a few hours before our arrival and noticed that they had already been there. The footage showed the two men trying to get into the car, but with the security system we had installed into the car they were not successful. With the men staying in the shadows away from the cameras it looked like the photo that I had freeze framed was the only usable one.

By the time I was done analyzing the video footage, the facial recognition program had finished running and it had found a match for both men. So I called Renee and David to the workshop to let them know what the program had found.

“The facial recognition program found a match to the two men. Their names are John Conner and Lee Garrett. They are part of an organization known as The Justice.  These two men are the organizations top security. They are the ones that go out and find people with similar or the same abilities as ours and try to recruit them or con them into joining The Justice.”

“It looks as though the group is made up of mostly ex-military with some intelligence officers, and people who do not like our government.”

“Yes, and that is probably why they are trying to come after Ian and myself, to use our abilities and intelligence to go up against our own government and military.”

“Ian and Renee, I have been doing some back ground checks on these men and have traced them back to the leader of the organization. His name is Jack Conner, he is the older brother of John Conner and goes by the nickname “Con.” He has a background in military and some intelligence, not much, but enough to be dangerous and start this organization.”

As David was looking further into John Conner and his past I was looking more into The Justice. I found that they had a very good weapon and ammunition arsenal. It also appears that their security and intelligence is very new and up to date, and I believe that is how they found my sister and I. 

Renee was looking more into the financial situation of the organization. She found that they are very well funded by The Justice leader himself.  He is currently the president and CEO of a successful multimillion dollar financial company that he started called Conner Financial.

By the time we had looked into the company and John Conner a couple of hours had passed and it was nine o’clock so we went into the house to have breakfast.  Our mom and Dad, Louise and Anthony Parker, where just finishing up cooking.

As we sat down we prayed and started eating.  While we ate mom and dad ask about what we had found out about the two men from the previous day.  As we informed them of the information we had gathered so far I could see a look of concern on our mother’s face, as she was always one to worry.

“Do not worry mom, David, Renee, and I have some sources that we are going to dig into as we go to help us out. So we will be as cautious as we can, even more so now that this organization has us in their sites.”

We finished the rest of our breakfast talking about the upcoming graduation that my sister and I had in a couple of months.  Renee and I were 18 and seniors in high school and going to be turning 19 right after graduation. 

After we got done with breakfast we decided to go back to the workshop and finish researching The Justice and its leaders. We spent about another couple of hours gathering as much information as we could. By the end of the two hours the security alarm started to go off on the monitors. 

David was watching the security monitors when the alarms started going off.
